Attuned to Culture

Nova's sense for what was happening in the company's culture was second to none: she had a great ability to perceive people's moods, and also check her biases at the door. It wasn't a surprise when they asked Nova to join the team planning the annual company summer getaway.

At its core, to be attuned is the ability to perceive and bring elements into harmony. It involves being in touch with the inner experience of oneself (self-attunement), or another (in this case, culture).

To be attuned to culture, you need skills in listening, perception, and empathy. You'll also need to be aware of biases you may hold, or the parts of culture you may not be aware of - or attuned to.
