Interventionist
About
An intervention is an opportunity to interrupt a person's destructive or problematic life patterns.
An interventionist identifies the appropriate people in the life of a person who is experiencing challenges - whether through substance use, mental or behavioral health problems, or other issues. Interventionists support, educate, and provide guidance, direction and training to the individual and their significant others.
Some interventionists operate within governments on international policy and economic issues, but the majority work with individuals as healthcare professionals.
