About
An information Architect (sometimes just known as an 'IA') plans and designs the structure of information for websites and web applications. Their goal is to provide users with a positive experience while ensuring data and information is complete, detailed and well-structured.
They're often part-scientist, part-creative: translating user behavior into media structure and elements; crafting interactive experiences; producing workflow diagrams, user scenarios, flowcharts, and storyboards; working with databases and analyzing information. An Information Architect can be found working in a wide range of companies and industries: from web design agencies and creative studios; to government, transportation, and financial services.
