About
The United Nations (UN) estimates that the world's population will grow from 7.6 billion in 2017 to 9.8 billion by 2050. As the population grows, so do the demands for energy. Nuclear energy is likely to continue to be one of the fastest-growing energy sources, and plants are continuing to increase their output and productivity to serve this demand. Operation Technicians are responsible for the release, control, and utilization of nuclear energy to assist nuclear scientists in both laboratory and production environments.
